Fund raising
Good progress on funding the new pavilion
Regular fund raising events and on-going work on grant applications has seen the pavilion fund make good progress.
We have so far raised £6000 in cash and a similar amount pledged for materials and labour in kind. Thanks to the hard work of Helen Fell, we have a Sports and Arts foundation grant for £15000 towards the building of the new pavilion and DMBC have recently agreed to allocate approx £38000 of Green Space 106 funding towards the new pavilion build.
The Sports Association are currently working with the football section in a bid for Football Foundation funding which looks very promising. A development working party have completed a football development plan and Ian Harmer has worked very hard to produce an updated business plan. The Association has arranged another meeting with Mark Pover and Brian Peck from the Football Foundation on July 5th to discuss a formal application for funding. They are very supportive of the bid and recognise the enormous potential for a sports facility in Barnby Dun and Kirk Sandall. Keep fingers crossed! If you can help with funding to support our pavilion project please contact the club and we will be pleased to discuss any proposal.
